In the second phase for Bihar assembly elections, polling for 94 seats in 17 districts has started at 7 am on Tuesday and ends at 6 pm. In the state till 5 pm, 53.98 percent voting was done.
In this phase, the fate of a total of 1463 candidates has been decided in the ballot box.
After the second phase of voting, the Election Commission held a press conference and informed about the voting in the state.
Record of Lok Sabha elections also broken
On Tuesday, Deputy Election Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Kumar told the media that a total of 1463 candidates contested the second phase, out of which 494 candidates had criminal case history. He said that 65.22 crore rupees have been recovered so far in Bihar. 16.68 crore were recovered in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 23.81 crore in the 2015 assembly elections.
