In Bihar, under the Chief Minister Dress Scheme, school children will now purchase clothes from livelihood groups and clusters associated with entrepreneurship development. These groups will use the clothes produced in the state for tailoring the dress. This will be applicable from the next academic session. The decision was taken in a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday.
The Principal Secretary of the Cabinet, Sanjay Kumar said in the press conference after the meeting that under the scheme, as before, the amount of dress will be sent to the account of the children of first to 12th standard. With that amount, children will buy two stitched dresses from livelihood groups or clusters associated with entrepreneurship development. For this, the Departments of Education, Industry, Rural Development and Finance will jointly prepare the guide. On the basis of this, the children will purchase the dress. Earlier they used to buy it from the market. With the decision of the state government, the income of women associated with livelihood along with the local producer company will increase.
Legislature session to be presented from February 19, 22 on budget
The budget session of the Legislature will run from 19 February to 24 March. On the 19th itself, the Governor will address both houses jointly. Economic survey will be presented on this day. The financial year 2021-22 budget will be presented on 22 February. Debate on the Governor’s address on this day and the government’s reply on 23rd. The second supplementary budget for the year 2020-21 will be presented on 24th. Discussion on department-wise income expenditure and reply of the government will start from 26th February. There will be a total of 22 meetings.
