Admission will be done on ten thousand seats in government colleges of BRA Bihar University. Guidelines are being sent to colleges after approval from the Education Department to increase seats. Admission will be from 25 to 27 January. The increase in seats has benefited the students from a dozen disciplines including history, geography, commerce. This time, compared to last time, due to reduced seat, there was a lot of fighting in some subjects during onspot admission. Increase of seats will provide relief to students of these subjects.
DSW Dr. Abhay Kumar Singh said that 20 percent seats are being increased in all subjects. Government approval has been received. These seats have increased in government colleges. About ten thousand seats have increased in 42 colleges. Enrollment for all colleges is being prepared subject wise list. It will be sent to colleges on Saturday. There will be admission at the college level on the basis of merit. DSW said that there will be admission on the increased seats from 25 to 27 January. Said that colleges can take admission even after 26 January. This time in the university, admission was being done on the seats fixed eight years ago. Based on the seats of the year 2012, the University had drawn four merit lists. After this, onspot admission was done on the remaining seats. After increasing seats, there will now be a second onspot admission. DSW said that by January 22, all colleges were yet to report onspot admissions. After this the portal will be closed. The portal will be opened again from Monday. Here, DSW Dr. Singh and UMIS Coordinator Dr. Lalan Kumar Jha held a meeting and prepared guidelines for increased seats.
