District magistrate (DM) Alok Ranjan Ghosh said, “Altogether 50 villages and hamlets have been identified for fogging of chemicals to destroy the larva of aedes mosquito, the vector of the disease. Pesticides have already been sprayed in 42 such areas. Since the aedes mosquito is active during day time, it is advisable to raise awareness about wearing full body clothes and avoid accumulation of water.”
