Demand for repeal of agricultural laws and withdrawal of electricity started in Bihar

Demand to repeal the three agricultural laws of the Center and

withdraw the electricity bill – 2020

All India Kisan Mahasabha and CPI-Male started indefinite dharna in several districts on Tuesday demanding repeal of the three agricultural laws of the Center and withdrawal of electricity bill-2020. It started in Patna on Wednesday. The demands of the organization include implementing the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission to guarantee procurement at the minimum support price for all crops and also reviving the mandi system abolished in 2006 in Bihar.

Male office secretary Kumar Parvez said senior leaders including Mahasabha state secretary Ramadhar Singh, MLA Sudama Prasad, state co-secretary Umesh Singh and Patna district secretary Kripanarayan Singh participated in the dharna. Apart from this, all the MLAs of Male along with farmers in different districts also sat on a dharna. In many places, the peasants marched before sitting on the dharna and called upon the people to come together in support of their demands.
